Reckless Putin bombards 118 Ukraine towns in 24 hours of brutal attacks

Russia has inflicted a brutal wave of devastation on Ukraine, bombarding 118 towns and villages in the country within 24 hours – a grim new record.

In total, 10 of Ukraine’s 27 regions came under attack as Vladimir Putin attempted to test the resolve of President Zelensky’s people. In particular, Russian shelling was focused on Avdiivka – a strategically important town in Donetsk in the east of Ukraine.

Local leader Vitaliy Barabash said: “[Avdiivka] is being erased, shattered. There have been more than 40 massive shelling attacks against the territorial community in the past day”.

Russia is believed to be committing high numbers of troops to take this area. According to the general staff of the Ukrainian armed forces, twenty attacks on Avdiivka had been repelled on Tuesday alone.

However, the Russian bombardment comes following the jaw-dropping news of the scale of Putin’s losses. Since the start of the invasion, Russia has lost more than 300,000 men.
